DO

  • Wait two - three seconds after they finish before speaking.

  • Let silence happen. Give them time to think.

  • Ask. Don’t assume.

  • Keep the mic close and use a windguard outside.

  • Check your audio before moving on.

DON’T

  • Don’t answer for them or finish their thought.

  • Don’t rush or interrupt.

  • Don’t lead them toward an answer.

  • Don’t tell them what they should say.

  • Don’t settle for bad audio. Record it again.
